Each player receives 13 cards and the goal is to arrange all cards into valid sets and sequences before the opponent. A valid declaration requires at least two sequences, one of which must be pure (no jokers).
The game uses two standard 52-card decks plus two printed jokers per deck (total 106 cards). After shuffling, one card is turned face up to determine the cut‐joker; cards of that rank become wild.
Deal: Each player is dealt 13 cards (10 cards each in Gin Rummy). The remaining form the closed stock; one card starts the open discard pile.
Turn Sequence: On your turn, draw one card (stock or discard), then discard one card to the open pile.
Discard: Only one card may be discarded each turn; jokers cannot be discarded.
If the stock empties before anyone declares, the cards are reshuffled (excluding last discard) and play continues.
A declaration without a pure sequence is invalid and results in penalty points.
Declare: After discarding your final card, tap Declare. Lay out all sets and sequences for verification.
Invalid Declaration: If your hand fails validation, you incur a flat penalty (e.g., 80 points).
